The NHS Jazz Band performed/competed on Saturday at King's Island in the Music at the Parks Festival.

The kids earned a rating of Superior (highest possible rating), and earned 1st Place among all Jazz groups at the Festival! Emily Lyles was also selected as the Outstanding Jazz Soloist for the Festival as well - she sang the vocal solo on "It's Been a Long, Long Time" - which if you're a movie fan, it's the song that Captain America and Peggy Carter dance to at the end of Avengers: Endgame. :D

For the year, Northwestern Band kids have just worked hard and done simply amazing things all year long. The list of accomplishments of our kids is awesome:

ISSMA All-Music Award

The Band has earned the ISSMA All-Music Award every year (except one) since 2016! This is the largest award a program can earn from ISSMA and represents excellence in all categories throughout a single school year.

Hopefully you are as proud of the kids as we are. We see their hard work day-in and day-out, before and after school, on weekends, over breaks, and through thick and thin. They are awesome kids.
